Frequenly asked questions What is Bookgoblin? BookGoblin is a free online notice board where students can buy, sell and place wanted ads for textbooks nationwide. We are a website designed and run by students, set up in the effort to help students sell their used textbooks, and to quickly and easily find those damn pricey books. It's 100% free to use Bookgoblin. How do I buy textbooks? Once you've found the textbook you're interested in, email the seller using the contact form that's under the book details. You need to be logged in to email the seller. If you are not a Bookgoblin member, register for free - it takes less than 30 seconds. If the seller has provided a mobile number you may prefer to flick them a text. Transactions are between you and the seller and Bookgoblin does not facilitate the trade in any way. How do I sell a textbook? First of all you need to become a Bookgoblin member. Registration takes less than 30 seconds. Once a member, login and click the sell tab at the top of any page and follow the simple steps. The more details you provide of your textbook the better. Only Bookgoblin members can can contact you regarding buying your book. Enquiries will go straight to the email address you registered with. If you provided a phone number you may receive a text or call from a buyer wanting to buy your textbook. How do I contact a seller? First login to Bookgoblin. Once logged in you can use the email form that's on each textbook listing. If you have logged in and the email box is still not showing you may need to try refresing the page again. I've emailed a seller but they haven't replied, what should I do? If a seller has not gotten back to you, there's a good chance that their email address is no longer active or they have sold the book. Unfortunately there is not a lot you or we can do. Please don't ask us about contacting the seller as that's outside our control. How much is postage? The seller of the textbook sets the price of shipping and will vary depending on the seller and the seller's location. How long will my textbook stay on the site for? Listing expire after 365 days. Once expired you can renew you listing my selecting 'Renew' under My account. Can I edit my textbook listing? Login and go to My Account. Here you can edit your textbook by selecting the 'Edit' button. How do I remove my textbook from Bookgoblin? Login and go to My Account. Here you can delete your textbook by selecting the 'Delete' button. How long will my listing stay on the site for? Listing expire after 365 days. Once expired login and go to My Account. Here you can relist your textbook by selecting the 'renew' button. I'm selling a book and my subject is not listed, what should I do? Pick the closest match ;-) How do I remove my Bookgoblin membership? Email us - mail {at} bookgoblin.co.nz with delete account as the subject. Be sure to include the email address you registered with or you Bookgoblin user name. Can I contact you to give you feedback or site improvements? Sure you can! We love to hear from our members.
